The service to our students is our priority, our President repeatedly says. Indeed, schools exist for the sake of the students, because they represent our ideals and dreams for a better future. In their plans, we find the meaning of our toils. In their dreams, we find a reason to believe that the world will still be a better place in the future than the past. Hence, even in the impossible supposition that schools be left with choosing between teachers and students as the remaining citizens therein, we are to choose the students, in the premise that they can be their own teachers as well. Wherefore, the essence of the school is the education of the students.

That is why, LIT focuses on the students’ leadership, productivity, morality, and service. Guided by the ideals of Jose P. Laurel who believed relentlessly in the promise of the future through the youth, we believe that their education and formation is our own service to our nation. We envision them to be principled, respectful, productive, and well-rounded individuals.

The Office of Student Affairs cannot exist apart from the twin responsibility of the school towards the students – Student Welfare and Student Development. Consistent with the vision of the CHED of producing citizens suited to the aims of the country and humanity, we aim to provide a set of student-centered activities and services in support of the academic instruction, and intended to facilitate holistic student development for active involvement in nation building.
